The Lot is sometimes nicknamed "Land of Wonders" because of its exceptional sites, buildings and landscapes.
- Cahors: The city was labelled City of Art and History in 2005. Its unique heritage makes it a not-to-be-missed highlight. Valentré bridge, also called Devil's Bridge, is a fourteenth century fortified bridge crossing the lot, with its three fortified towers and its six arches preceded by sharp beaks, it now offers an example of the defensive architecture of the Middle Age and has become the symbol of the city of Cahors. It is a historical monument since the first list of 1840.
Other attractions: The Barbican protected the door of the bar; St. Etienne's Cathedral and its dome; the cloister.
- Rocamadour: The village lies on top of a 150m high cliff overlooking the Alzou Canyon. The Saint-Sauveur's church and the St. Amadour's crypt are classified as World Heritage of Humanity, as part of the Chemins de Saint Jacques de Compostela.
- St Cirq Lapopie classified most beautiful village of France as well as Rocamadour, Autoire, Loubressac and Carennac.
- The prehistoric caves of Pech-Merle Caves are caves open to the public, the Padirac Chasm is the monumental entrance to a natural cavity of 103 meters deep into which flows an underground river that runs along a portion of a large network of more than 40 kilometers of development.
- Regional Natural Park of Causses of Quercy and animal park of Gramat.
- The city of Figeac houses the Champollion's museum and a giant reproduction of the Rosetta Stone.
Gastronomy:
Quercy is the land of gastronomy. You can taste great products and great wines.
- The Cabécou of Rocamadour is a delicious cheese made of goat milk and fresh cheese. It is produced mainly in the Quercy and enjoys an AOC.
- The truffle, mushroom known for its aroma, flavours wonderfully all the local cuisine. Lalbenque and Cahors markets are the major markets where we can find that precious black mushroom.
- The noix makes the wealth of Lot valleys and hills. It is in the form of shell or walnuts, fresh or dried. Derived from the fruit, noix oil and noix water which is part of a traditional alcohol made with plum and ratafia.
- The Cahors wine is a red wine of AOC which guarantees a high level of quality. The Cahors wine is drunk young or old and is a perfect accompaniment to roast meats, game, cheese and berries.
